Six area residents were among 43 who were admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) probation program, a program reserved for first offenders to allow them to work off the criminal charges.

They were approved for the program by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin. who placed them all for a year, unless otherwise noted.

Damian M. Boyle, 26, of 637 Arlington St., Tamaqua, on a driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol charge, was assessed $500 to defray cost of the program, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), enroll in alcohol highway safe driving school and perform 10 hours community service.
