Local historian Bob Vybrenner will be presenting a lecture on 18th century funerary practices and beliefs at 7 p.m. on Sept. 24 at the Summit Hill Heritage Center in Summit Hill.

Vybrenner, chairman of the volunteer board at Eckley Miner's Village, will focus on how death was handled by various ethnicities and classes in the late 1800s throughout the coal regions, as well as general attitudes and customs from that period. For more information, call (570) 657-0792.
