American Legion Post 903, Mt. Pocono and American Legion Post 927, Gilbert, are jointly holding a POW (Prisoner of War) Remembrance Ceremony and picnic at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the American Legion Post 927, Gilbert, Route 209, Gilbert. The picnic will continue to 5 p.m.

Sept. 17 is National POW/MIA Recognition Day. Any former POWs are invited as guests.Anyone with information about a POW is asked to call Thomas R. Bowditch, 30th District Commander, Monroe County at (570) 595-7145.
