Snyder & Clemente, Accountants & Consultants, has announced John M. Nonnemacher, CPA, has been named a principal at the firm.

Nonnemacher is manager of the firm's Hazleton office and has more than 23 years of diverse accounting, auditing and taxation experience with the firm. He performs audit, review and compilation services for business, government and non-profit organizations. He also prepares individual, corporate, partnership and non-profit income tax returns.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Nonnemacher received a B.S. in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University and is a graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School.

He is an active member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Parish, Hazleton, where he serves as a member of the finance council and as the advisor for the parish's youth group. In addition, he assists several regional private schools with their participation in the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program.

Nonnemacher also performs volunteer work for various school, church and community projects and fundraisers.

He and his wife, Sandra, are the parents of four children, Jonathan (Hampton, Va.), Megan (Scranton, Pa.) and Matthew and Christian, at home. He is the son of Irene Nonnemacher of Jim Thorpe and the late Kermit Nonnemacher.
