A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 3:10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, along Condor Lane, in Cass Township.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said John J Smulley, 25, of Pottsville, was driving a 1983 Ford F150 truck eastbound when the truck left the road on the right side and struck a brick and metal fence with its right front. After impact the truck continued on and struck the front of the residence at 813 Forest Lane and a mailbox in the front. The truck came to rest in the yard at that location.
Troopers indicated Smulley is facing a DUI charge as a result of the accident.
