A Monroe County motorcyclist is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a crash at 11:43 p.m. on June 10.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of Long Pond and Clearview roads in Tunkhannock Township. On scene, officers found a 2013 Honda Fury bike laying on its side. The driver was identified as Barry R. Pape, 46, of High Country Estates, Long Pond.Officers detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the county DUI center for a blood test.Charges will be filed for DUI and other traffic related offenses, police said.
