OLOAA third grade receives dictionaries

The third grade class from Our Lady of the Angels Academy received 15 dictionaries from Mr. Francis X. Koomar and Mr. William P. Gardiner. This is the ninth year these gentlemen have graciously gifted students throughout the area with a personal copy of a dictionary. The goal of the program is to improve reading fluency and comprehension. Educators see third grade as the dividing line between learning to read and reading to learn. Participating in the presentation were, front row (left to right) Trevor Cannon, Thaddeus Karnish, Colin Rehnert, Isaac Faust and Brian Higgins. Second row, Teacher Mrs. Polakovich, Laralyn Mullen, Eric Aleksiejczyk, Caleb Knepper, Sophia Tenisci and Cora Ritchie. Third row, Jenna Dubosky, Brian Smith, Allison Slakoper, Brian Bauer, Chad Eschbach and Mr. Gardiner.
