Checkers anyone?

Tamaqua Senior High School students held their annual "Whitewash" recently at the school. Students were given the opportunity to paint their names, school spirit slogans, or artistic creations on the Stadium Hill road leading to the school, while only using blue and white paint, the school colors. The activity was under the supervision of Roseann Weinrich, biology teacher and senior class advisor. Above, Tamaqua seniors Brittney Oswald, left, and her friend Kristen Wood spend time fine tuning their blue and white road artwork. Below, students Deana DeWire, left, and her brother Dane sign their names as the final touch to their blue and white checkered design.
