The Tamaqua Street Machine Association held its annual Heritage Day Car Show on Sunday, Oct. 10 on South Railroad Street as part of the borough's 26th Heritage Festival. Participating in the awards ceremony were, from left, Tamaqua Mayor Christian Morrison and his dog, Hurst; Mark Blasko, TSMA President; Linda Fritzinger, third place, 1970 Chevy Chevelle; Tyler Butkus, second place, 1980 Chevy Caprice; Dan Tyson, People's Choice Award, 1978 Ford LTD Ghostbusters wagon; Mike Goodwin, Mayor's Choice Award, 1956 Chevy pick-up; and Dale Freudenberger, president of the Tamaqua Historical Society, which sponsors the People's Choice award. TSMA donated $365 from the show, as well as some collected toys, to the Toys For Tots program.
