A holiday open house will be held at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center, Slatington, on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 1-4 p.m. Members, friends, and neighbors are welcome to visit the Osprey House for an afternoon of fun, crafts, and refreshments.

If you haven't seen the newly constructed nature center, now is your chance.

Bill and Lorraine Mineo will lead a workshop in using greens and grape vines to make holiday wreaths starting at 1 p.m. Bring clippers and last year's grape vine wreath if you made one. Donna Gasser will demonstrate how to make pine cone angels and pine cone treats for the birds. Bring a plate of your favorite Christmas snacks or cookies to share.

Mark your calendar for this holiday gathering. For directions, check the Lehigh Gap Nature Center website, http://lgnc.org. or call (610) 760-8889. The Lehigh Gap Nature Center is a nonprofit, member supported, wildlife conservation organization with its office at the Lehigh Gap, just north of Slatington.
