Tamaqua's annual Veterans Day Parade will be held this Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m., rain or shine.

The parade is sponsored by C.H. Berry Post 173 of the American Legion, Tamaqua.

Ed Smith, adjutant for the Tamaqua American Legion post, said Mary Zelonis, retired U.S. Army and deputy commander for the 13th District of the American Legion, will serve as grand marshal for the parade.

The parade will begin to assemble at 9:30 a.m. at Lech Motors on the east end of Tamaqua and will proceed west on Broad Street (Route 209).

Veterans are encouraged to participate, as well as civic organizations, scouts and anyone else who want to honor America's service personnel.
