Temple Israel of Lehighton is holding a unique Shabbat Service facilitated by Rabbi Melody Davis of Pennsylvania. Rabbi Davis will engage the congregation through her spiritual uplifting techniques characterized by singing, dancing, poetry, music, theater and meditation combined with some prayers done in the traditional manner. This participatory congregational experience is accessible to folks across the spectrum of Hebrew knowledge and exhibits the broad-based talents acquired by Rabbi Davis during her educational and professional journeys. Torah readings are done in Hebrew and English.
Shabbat Service follows the pot luck/diary/vegetarian dinner at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 in the Ostroff Social Hall of the synagogue, 194 Bankway, Lehighton. For additional information call (610) 379-9591.
Rabbi Davis has contributed to the development of synagogues and community programs, and has been acknowledged as an outstanding graduate of major Rabbinic Colleges with Master Degrees from; Gratz College, New York University, and Fordham University.

The Rabbi's continued successes includes caring for her husband, three children and responding to the spiritual needs of others, along with other career interests.
