A Tamaqua woman was one of 24 who entered a guilty plea to criminal charges and they were sentenced Thursday in the Schuylkill County court by Judge Jacquelline Russell as follows:

Jessica A. Linkhorst, 25, of 330 Market St., Tamaqua, retail theft of 15 items from Walmart store in Rush Township, placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), perform 20 hours of community service and make restitution of $145.94 to the store and $50 to the district attorney's office. She is also forbidden from entering the store.

On a charge of possession of an instrument of crime (razor blade) she received a concurrent 12 months probation sentence. She previously had been placed in the Accelerated Rehabiliative Disposition (ARD) program on probation for 12 months last March but was revoked for violating the conditions. She was cited by Patrolman Duane Frederick, Rush Township police.

Michelle L. Brennan, 41, of 509 W. Centre St., Mahanoy City, delivery of a controlled substance, sentenced to serve nine to 23 months in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA, perform 20 community service and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. She received credit for having served 45 days. Brennan was cited by Patrolman Michael Dissinger, Mahanoy City police, last Aug. 19.

Michael Kenneth Shannon Jr., 23, of 30 W. South St., Mahanoy City, possession of a controlled substance, placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours community service. Shannon was cited by Patrolman Christopher Zubris, Mahanoy City police. On additional charges, misbranding a controlled substance was given a 12 month probation to run concurrent with the possession sentence and on a charge of retail theft of merchandise from Cocoa Hut, Mahanoy City, was fined $100 and costs.

Derek Davidson, 25, 21 S. "D" Street, Mahanoy City, simple assault on Samantha Davidson, his wife, placed on probation 18 months, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours community service. He was cited by Patrolman George Parnell, Mahanoy City police, last Jan. 13. He also must enroll in Anger Management Classes.

Deanna Ashley Christman, 20, Allentown, on a driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, was sentenced to spend 48 hours to six months in the county prison, pay a fine of $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, perform 10 hours community service and receive outpatient counseling. Christman was cited by Trooper Brent Spleen last Oct. 10. On two summary charges, following another vehicle too closely and failing to drive at a safe speed was fined $25 each plus $100 costs.

Jared C. Whitecavage, 19, Ringtown, DUI of alcohol and drugs, serve 72 hours to six months in county prison, pay $1,000 fine, $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $50 probation fee, and 20 hours community service. On a summary charge of disregarding traffic lane was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Whitecavage was cited by Patrolman Robert Senape, West Mahanoy Township police, last Nov. 22.

Joel Martinez-Colon, 22, Pottsvile, possession of drug parahernalia, 12 months probation, $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, and 20 hours community service. He was cited by Patrolman Eugene Yourey, Pottsville police, last August and was cited by Patrolman Renee Galle, Pottsville police, last Sept. 21 and was sentenced to serve an additional six months probation, pay $50 to CJEA, and render an additional 20 hours of community service.

Eric M. Lehman, 26, Schuylkill Haven, possession of a small amount of marijuana, serve 30 days probation. On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, 12 months probation and pay a fine of $200, also, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, perform 20 hours community service and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Lehman was cited by Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner, Schuylkill Haven police, last Sept. 9.

Matthew Christopher Gibson, 23, Pottsville, DUI, 72 hours to six months in county prison beginning Tuesday, May 25, fined $1,000, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, perform 20 hours community service and driver's license suspended 12 months. On additional charges, driving the wrong way, fined $25; and failing to use safety belt, fined $10 plus $100 costs. He also must attend alcohol highway safety school and undergo outpatient counseling. Gibson was cited by Patrolman Ryan Murphy, Minersville police, last Nov. 10.

On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was sentenced to serve an additional 12 months probation, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and serve 20 hours community service. He as cited by Patrolman Richard Pugh, Pottsville police, last Sept. 26.

Tammy Lynn Williams, 33, Mount Carmel, retail theft of clothing from Boscov's Store, Fairlane Villlage Mall, Pottsville, placed on probation 23 months, pay $50 to CJEA, have no contact with the store and perform 20 hours community service. Williams was cited by Trooper John Powis in April 2009.

Mark Claiborne Swift, 20, Pottsville, defiant trespass on property of Pottsville Housing Authority, sentenced to serve 21 days to 23 months in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA, and peform 20 hours of community service. Swift was cited by Patrolman Brian Reno, Pottsville police. He also must have no contact with the housing authority.

Thomas James Dino Jr., 30, Pottsville, simple assault on wife, Brooke Dino, placed on probation 18 months, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours of community service. Dino was cited by Patrolman Kirk Becker, Pottsville police, last July 29. He also must undergo Anger Management evaluation and comply with any recommendation. On a charge of striking a parked car owned by Rebecca Watkins, N. Centre St., Pottsville, last Nov. 13, was placed on a concurrent 12 months probation, pay $50 to CJEA and perform an additional 20 hours community service. Dino was cited by Cpl. Mark O'Toole, Pottsville police, last Nov. 14.

Keith Daniel Benjamin, 26, Shenandoah, fleeing West Mahanoy Township police, sentenced to serve 30 days to 11 months in the county prison, pay a fine of $500, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours of community service. On a charge of driving while his license was suspended was fined $200 plus $50 costs.

James L. Nedinsky, 34, Pottsville, receiving stolen property from Walmart Store, Hometown, sentenced to serve 10 days to 18 months in the county jail, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours of community service. He was cited by Cpl. Duane Frederick, Rush Township police, last Aug. 5. He is also barred from entering the store.

Gina Lombardo, 31, Ringtown, three counts of delivery of a controlled substance in Shenandoah, sentenced to serve 16 to 32 months in a state correctional institution. On a charge of theft of an automobile in Ashland was given an additional three to 12 months prison sentence, pay $100 to SAE fund, $150 to CJEA, pay $120 to Schuylkill County Drug Task Force and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. On a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle was given an additional prison sentence of two to four months, pay $50 to CJEA. She received credit for serving 104 days in the county prison.

Jeffrey Thomas Savitsky, 40, Schuylkill Haven, loitering and prowling at night in 200 block of Hatchet Cove, Wayne Township, placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA and perform 20 hours of community service. He was cited by Trooper John Carr last August.

Thomas Edward O'Reilly, 23, Pottsville, possession of a small amount of marijuana, 30 days probation, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 10 hours community service. O'Reilly was cited by Cpl. Mark O'Toole, Pottsville police, last Oct. 12.

Jared Wheeler Spotts, 23, Pottsville, possession of a prohibitive weapon and simple assault, was sentenced to serve three to 23 months under house arrest, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 10 hours of community service. He received credit for serving 72 days in prison. He also shall have no physical contact with the victim.

Thomas Joseph Spece, 43, Minersville, possession of a controlled substance, serve 30 days to three months in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA, perform 20 hours of community service and make restitution of $339 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Spece was cited by Schuylkill County Drug Task Force to whom he must pay $80 in restitution.

Brad Michael Strausser, 21, Pine Grove, retail theft of three Ipods and other merchandise from Walmart Store, Saint Clair, placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA, perform 20 hours of community service and make restitution of $2,227.66 to the store. Strausser was cited by Patrolman Joseph Leskin, Saint Clair police, last November. Strausser is barred from entering the store.

Debra Lynn Gereenberg, 41, Pottsville, possession of a controlled substance, sentenced to serve six to 12 months in the county prison.. She began her sentence Tuesday at 9 a.m. She also was ordered to pay a fine of $100, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA and $100 to Schuylkill County Drug Task Force and perfrom 20 hours of community service. On a charge of possession of a controlled substance received an additional 11 months to be served on probation. Pay a fine of $100, pay $50 to CJEA and $100 to drug task force.

Melissa Marie Meyer, 34, Port Carbon, DUI, placed in the Immediate Punishment Program (IPP) for six months with the first 10 days to be served in the county prison beginning Friday, June 4, at 9 a.m. followed by five months and 20 days on probation, pay a fine of $750, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center and perform 20 hours community service. On a charge of failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic fined $25 plus $50 costs. Meyer was cited by Trooper Michael Becker in Port Carbon last Aug. 16.

Tyler John Pridemore-Kreiser, 20, Pine Grove, aggravated assault causing bodily injury to Ronald Knoll, serve16 to 23 months in a state correctional institution, pay $50 to CJEA and make restitution of $2,368 to crime victims compensation bureau. He was cited by Trooper Thomas Hornung last Dec. 1 on Swope's Valley Road. The victim was shot with a BB pellet gun in the face.

Amy Lynn Sartori, 25, Shenandoah, possession of a controlled substance, placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and $50 to Shenandoah Police Department and perform 20 hours community service.

Each defendant must pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
