A Monroe County man has been charged with several criminal counts following incidents at the county prison in Snydersville.

State police at Lehighton said David Allen Vanhorn, 47, of Kunkletown, was incarcerated at the jail on May 12.

Troopers said between the hours of 3 and 6 a.m. Vanhorn committed the following acts at the prison. He urinated and defecated all over the window, walls and door handles of his holding cell.

He then tried to flood the cell by clogging the toilet. He then charged at one of the correctional officers when his holding cell was opened and threatened to follow several staff members home and kill them.

He was charged with aggravated harassment by a prisoner (felony three), simple assault and harassment, both misdemeanors.
