The state Department of Transportation is postponing work on the Route 534 bridge in Kidder Township because of rain.

The bridge, over Swamp Run between Gower Lane and Route 903, will be repaired. Route 534 will be closed and traffic detoured over Old Stage and Henning roads.The work was scheduled to start today and finish on May 19, but has been postponed until further notice, according to PennDOT.
