On Saturday, April 24, 2010 one area family walked in a Parkinson's Unity Walk in New York City's Central Park in honor of their Dad, Chester Frey who has been battling Parkinson's for 22 years. The walk raised more than $1 million for the cause. Frey got out of his wheelchair and walked the last couple feet across the finish line to much applause from the cheering crowd. Participating were Lehighton residents, Randy Frey (holding flag), Chester Frey, Rob Frey, Pauline Frey and Kerri Frey.
