Vehicle plate reported stolen

State police at Lehighton are investigating the theft of a Pennsylvania vehicle registration plate. Troopers also reported on a criminal mischief incident.

Troopers said the plate on the motorcycle of Larry Mansolo Pelaporre, 51, of Landingville, Schuylkill County, was stolen while the bike was parked on a lot at Penn's Peak, in Penn Forest Township. The incident was reported at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 20. The plate number is SYR89.The mischief incident occurred at 110 Dogwood Drive, in Penn Forest Township. Unknown criminals came to the residence and smashed three windows on the home. Two windows were located in the front porch and one was on the second floor level, also in the front of the home.A large sized metal ball was found on scene which would be consistent with the use of a slingshot but it is not certain at this time what was used to propel the ball to cause the damages. The home is owned by Stephen Thomas James, 60, of Jim Thorpe. The incident occurred sometime between March 6 and Saturday.Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
