Joseph Kistler, right, and Gene Gallagher were just two of the many volunteers who constructed disc baskets Saturday for the new free public disc golf course being developed by East Penn Township at Riverview Park. The course is expected to open on Armed Forces Day on May 15 with a commemorative tournament. For more information, contact the township at (570) 386-5735.

It’s great to know how well Joseph Kistler, Gene Gallagher has constructed the disc baskets. I would first of all congratulate them for the effort that they have taken for the work. The effort to hold a free public golf course would boost the confidence of the people in and around the place. I was present for the course and I would say that it was really great and informative.

Was watching Seinfeld the other night, and George referred to it as Frolf - Frisbee Golf. Funny...never heard that before, and Seinfeld is an old show. Super fun game though, there is a course locally. Sadly it is a drive, but we try to get out and play a couple of times a year. I am sure this golf will be greatly appreciated. Classic Arcade Games
