The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collecton agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

Chase Bank USA, 3700 Wiseman Blvd., San Antonio, Tex., filed five actions as follows: Jane L. Shellhamer, 776 Edgemont Ave., Palmerton, seeking $7,478.36; Angela Caruso, 132 Drakes Drive, Jim Thorpe, seeking $1,785.245, and a second action, seeking $6,050.06; Connie M Derr, 830 Lake Drive, Lehighton, seeking $7,172.53; and Jerry D. Strohl, 90 Beaver St., Lehighton, seeking $5,910.75.

FIA Card Services, 655 Papermill Rd., Newark, Del., filed two actions as follows: Debra A. Kresge, 2515 Hahns Dairy Rd., Palmerton, seeking $13,652.12; and Anna J. Green, 11 W. Oak St., Tresckow, seeking $4,219.81.

Capital One Bank, 15000 Capital One Drive, Richmond, Va., filed three actions as follows: Lisa M. Gaumer, 20 Daniel Circle, Lehighton, seeking $6,361.63; Gina M. Soldridge, 509 Columbia Ave., Palmerton, seeking $4,442.98; and Maria C. Caldas, 151 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, seeking $14,915.98.

Cavalry Portfolio Services, 7 Skyline Drive, Hawthrone, N.J., filed two actions as follows: Joseph P. Eremus Jr., 80 Danner Rd., Jim Thorpe, seeking $3,281.64; and Samuel Weiner, 50 S. Second St., Palmerton, seeking $4,190.37.

LVNV Funding, 15 S. Main St., Greenville, S.C., filed against Gus Cerino, 1580 Strohls Valley Rd., Lehighton, seeking $7,804.27.

Credigy Receivables, c/o 120 N. Keyser Ave., Scranton, filed against Joseph T. Matula, 209 E. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, seeking $3,173.88.

Asset Acceptance, 28405 Van Dyke Ave., Warren, Ariz., filed against Jennifer A. Wainwright, 298 Packer St., Weatherly, seeking $2,384.97.

Auto crash suits

Tammy Troxell, 62 E. Second St., Lehighton, and Jason Troxell, 286-118 Lower Nis Hollow Drive, Lehighton, filed an action against Larry Eckhart, 2375 E. Lizard Creek Rd., Lehighton.

The suit states a rear-end type accident occurred on Sept. 19, 2008, in which a vehicle operated by the defendant allegedly rear-end a vehicle owned by the plaintiffs along Bridge St., in Lehighton. Sought is damages for injuries sustained and detailed in the suit. Sought is damages in excess of $50,000 on each of two counts.

The same plaintiffs filed an action against Tiffany Brights and Raymond C. Wilder, 218 W. Ridge St., Coaldale, stemming from an accident that occurred on June 20, 2008, along Blakeslee Blvd. East, Mahoning Township, in which a vehicle driven by Brights allegedly collided with a vehicle operated by Jason Troxell. Negligence is alleged for injuries sustained and detailed in the suit. Sought is damages in excess of $50,000 on each of four counts.

Divorces started

Timothy Robert Rehrig Jr., 143 Shady Acres Lane, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, filed against Cheryl Lynn Rehrig, 261 Center St., Jamestown, Lehighton. They were married Feb. 14, 2004.

Danielle Rehrig Knappenberger, 229 N. Second St., Lehighton, filed against Christopher Knappenberger, 6923 Nisbet Court, Lehighton. They were married Feb. 22, 2009.

Ryan P. Bowman, 28 Sonny Lane, Lehighton, filed against Rachel L. Bowman, 348 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton. They were married Sept. 10, 2008.

Slip and fall suits

Margaret Breiner, 125 S. Third St., Lehighton, filed a complaint against Sal Baldostano, 1215 North St., Jim Thorpe.

The suit states on May 21, 2008, the plaintiff was going to work at the Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits Shop, at 1215 North St., Jim Thorpe, when she was caused to slip and fall. Negligence is alleged against the defendant, who is the owner of the building and property. Sought are damages for injuries sustained and detailed in the suit. Sought is damages in excess of $50,000.

John Motola, 194 E. Second St., Lehighton, filed an action against Kelly S. Fisher, 263 Pinoak Drive, Lehighton.

The suit states on Sept. 30, 2008, the plaintiff was walking down steps at 118 E. Second St., Lehighton, when he was caused to slip and fall and sustained injuries detailed in the suit. The defendant is the owner of the property, the suit states. Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000.

Contract default

VNB Loan Services Inc., 747 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Chestnut Ridge, N.Y., filed a complaint against Melissa N. Treddwell, 67 North St., Slatington, alleging she defaulted on a retail installment sales contract for the purchase of a vehicle. Sought is $21,162.91 plus costs and fees.
