Seven area residents were among 33 qualified by Schuylkill County District Attorney James P. Goodman for the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) probation program, which is reserved for first offenders charged with non-viiolent crimes. At a hearing held Thursday in the county court Judge John E. Domalakes admitted them into the program and told them they were not entering a guilty plea to the charge but agree to carry out the conditions imposed by the court to clear their name. All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.

Andrew Peter DePalma, 48, of 285-17 NIS Hollow, Lehighton, on a driving under the influence (DUI) charge was assessed $500 to defray cost of the program, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Acccount (CJEA) fund, $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend the alcohol highway safe driving school and receive counseling for substance abuse, perform 10 hours of community service and his drivers license is suspended 60 days. DePalma was cited by Patrolman Charles Blesse, Coaldale police, last July 14.

Nicole A. Machay, 33, of 400 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, on a DUI charge was ordered to pay $50 to CJEA fund, $100 to SAE fund and $113 to Bethlehem Regionnal Lab. Machey was cited by Patrolman Anthony Stanell, Tamaqua police, last May 6.

Anthony Dean McGeehan, 26, of 318 Mahanoy St., Tamaqua, on a burglary charge must pay a $350 assessment fee, $50 to CJEA fund, make restitution of $150 to Megan Marcellino, 302 Hazle St. McGeehan was cited by Patrolman Matthew Bynon, Tamaqua police, Feb. 8, 2009.

Edward C. Smith, 52, of 325 Willing St., Tamaqua, on a DUI charge was assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, attend alcohol highway safety school, perform 10 hours community service and license is suspended 30 days. Smith was cited by Patrolman Robert Minnick, Rush Township police, last July 7. On a charge of failing to drive on right side of roadway was fined $25 plus $50 costs.

Mary Joe Smulligan, 36, Delano, on a DUI charge must pay a $500 assessment, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, attend alcohol highway safe driving school, make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center and perform 10 hours of community service. Smulligan license is suspended 60 days. She was cited by Patrolman Peter Sandor, Tamaqua police, last Aug. 27.

Gerald C. Williams Jr., 30, Coaldale, on a DUI charge must pay a $500 assessment, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, attend alcohol highway safe driving school and receive outpatient counseling and perform 10 hours community service. His license is suspended 30 days. On a charge of failing to activate turning signals when required was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Williams was cited by Trooper Thomas Hornung last Oct. 15 in Palo Alto.

Bryan Dementri, 19, Jim Thorpe, on a DUI charge pay a $500 assessment, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours community service, enroll and complete Group Intervention Program and license suspended 90 days because he was a minor. Dementri was cited by Patrolman Robert Minnick, Coaldale Police, last Aug. 16.

Candace Lynn Allen, 21, Port Carbon, possession of a small amount of maijuana, must pay a $350 assessment, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional lab. Allen was cited by Patrolman Brian Reno, Pottsville police, last Sept. 12.

Kimberly Bound, 30, Auburn, DUI, pay $500 assessment, $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 10 hours community service and license suspended 60 days. Bound was cited by Patrolman Gregory Meisner, Schuylkill Haven police, last Nov. 26.

Arturo Aviles Jr., 42, Shenandoah, resisting arrest, pay an asssessment of $350 and enroll and complete Anger Managment Class. Aviles was cited by Patrolman George Carado, Shenandoah police, last Sept. 8.

George Samuel Beaver, 52, Shenandoah, simple assault and two counts of harassment, pay a $500 assessment, $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 10 hours community service and license suspended 60 days. Beaver was cited by Patrolman Charles Kovalewski, Mahanoy City police, last Dec. 16. He also must make restitution of $1,910 to two victims.

Carl M. Dannenhower, 69, Schuylkill Haven, DUI, pay a $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center and his license is suspended 30 days. He was cited by Patrolman William Horn, Schuylkilll Haven police, last Oct. 17.

Anthony J. Bennett, 20, Mahanoy City, criminal conspiracy and theft, pay a $350 assessment and court costs.

Jerry Michael Burgos, 47, North Catasauqua, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, pay $350 assessment, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and perform 10 hours community service. Burgos was cited by Trooper Arthur Wink Jr. at the state correctional facility in Ryan Township last Aug. 9.

Angelique M. Hoffman, 34, Ashland, DUI, pay a $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend alcohol highway safe driving school and license is suspended 60 days. Hoffman was cited by Patrolman George Parnell, Butler Township police, last July 15.

Tanya M. Eddy, 33, Pottsville, endangering welfare of a child, must pay $350 assessment, pay $50 to CJEA fund and attend a parenting class. Eddy was cited by Patrolan Joseph Murton Jr., Pottsville police, last July 19.

Trent Nick Donfrio, 19, Pine Grove, DUI, pay a $500 assessment, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, attend alcohol highway safety school, perform 10 hours of community service and license suspended 90 days. Donofrio was city by Cpl. Jeffrey Futchko, Pine Grove police, last Sept. 20.

Rickann Heiser, 39, Schuylkill Haven, theft, access device fraud and unlawful use of computer, pay $350 assessment. Heiser was cited by Patrolman Vincent McDonad, Schuylkilll Haven police, last Aug. 17.

Bonnie S. Johns, 43, Saint Clair, DUI, pay a $500 assessment, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund and $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center. On a charge of driving without a license was fined $200 plus $50 costs. Johns was cited by Chief Jon Bowman, Port Carbon police, last September.

Christopher M. Lascala, 25, Schuylkill Haven, DUI of drugs, pay a $500 assessment, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend alcohol highway safety school and undergo outpatient counseling, perform 10 hours community service and license suspended 60 days. Lascala was cited by Cpl. Francis Lynox, Pottsville police, on Jan. 25, 2009.

Thryn Marie Kleeman, 31, Frackville, acquired possession of controlled substance and misrepresented it, criminal conspiracy and forgery, pay a $350 assessment and $50 to CJEA fund. Kleeman was cited by Trooper Denny Grimm last Nov. 5.

Everett Patrick Metcalf, 36, Giradville, DUI, pay a $500 assessment and court costs, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours community service and license suspended 60 days. Metcalf was cited by Trooper Michael Van Buskirt last Nov. 1.

Sean L. McCall, 21, Schuylkill Haven, access device fraud and criminal conspiracy, pay a $350 assessment, $50 to CJEA fund and make restitution of $249.42 to Phillip Marsili.

Jarid D. Moyer, 34, Tremont, DUI, pay a $500 assessment, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend an alcohol highway safe driving school, perform 10 hours community service and license suspended 30 days. Tina M. Ryan, 40, Pottsville, retail theft and criminal conspiracy, pay a $350 assessment and make restitution of $4,204 to Walmart Store, Saint Clair.

Michael Anthony Segura, 21, Ashland, DUI, pay a $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, receive outpatient counseling and license suspended 90 days. Seguara was cited by Patrolman Michael O'Neill, Ashland police, last July 29.

Jennifer L. Stabinsky, 27, Minersville, DUI, pay a $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 10 hours community service and license suspended 30 days. Stabinsky was cited by Chief Jon Bowman, Port Carbon police, last Sept. 26.

Each defendant must pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision while in the program.
