Cancer fundraiser supported

Dear Editor:

On behalf of myself, my daughter Jess Kutza, and the American Cancer Society Telethon Committee, I extend deepest gratitude to everyone who supported our Annual ACS Chinese Auction held in the Lakeside Ballroom on Sunday, March 7th.This year's total of over 600 donations, hundreds of attendees and amazing proceeds would have never been possible without YOU, our supportive friends and businesses.Lakeside graciously allows us to use their facility to display our multitude of items and comfortably accommodate our guests. Each year the Auction continues to grow and we strive for improvement. I can only hope that you had a memorable experience and will invite your friends to participate in all of our events. Feel free to email me with your comments regarding your likes, dislikes and suggestions to improve. Many thanks to all of you who supported our special big item white ticket sales that circulated prior to the auction. Pre-sales surpassed our expectations.Let us not forget our bakers, basket savers, handy folks, truck driver, the Leo's, CCTI students, websites, WMGH, Penn's Peak, newspaper and television coverage, Polka Joe, Cody Sassaman, set up, ticket sellers, and any one who contributed in any way. Please watch for our check presentation of $18,900 at the ACS Telethon held April 10 and 11, broadcast LIVE from Penn's Peak. Check out Blue Ridge Channel 13 or Service Electric from noon to midnight each day or better yet, stop by and enjoy the live entertainment. If you have a motorcycle, participate in our 2nd Annual Poker Run, Saturday, April 10 which ends at the Peak.Again, thank you for being a part of "People You Know Helping People You Know".New volunteers are always welcome.Sincerely,Mary Ann DulaneyACS Chinese Auction Coordinator/Volunteer
