The Schuylkill County Master Gardener's program will present a water wise recycling program on March 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Schuylkill County Ag center Conference Room, 1202 Ag Center Dr., Pottsville. The program is open to all county homeowners interested in protecting the local watershed and conserving natural resources. One of the main topics will be urban/suburban water runoff and ways to capture and re-use roof runoff water.
The program is made possible through a joint collaboration of the Schuylkill County Conservation District and the Penn State Cooperative Extension.
The Rev. Rodney Hall will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Primitive Methodist Church. The service will include a children's sermon. Nursery care is available. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:30 a.m.
First Steps, a support group for mothers of young children, meets the first Tuesday of each month, from 6-8 p.m., at the church.
The Rev. Debra Ernst will officiate at the 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. services this Sunday in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. The early service will include the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Activities for next week will include: Tuesday, PERT meeting at 7 p.m.; Thursday, Senior Choir rehearsal at 7:30 p.m.
Class of 2010
The Decorating Committee for the Parents of the Tamaqua Class of 2010 meets every Monday, at 7 p.m., on the third floor of the Tamaqua Elks, 301 W. Broad St.
Members continue working on decorations for the annual All Night Party.
