The Carbon County Emergency Management Agency has announced that the March CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) classes have been canceled.

Dates for the April CERT classes have also been announced. The three-day course will run April 5, 12, and 20. Classes are from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Carbon County EMA building in Nesquehoning.

The general public is encouraged to sign-up for this training along with anyone already involved in the emergency services. This course is also ideal for township and borough officials such as councilmen, supervisors, mayors, public works personnel and anyone involved with community leadership.
