It's never too early to learn some basic math principles, and have fun doing it. Aubianna Reiss, left, and Emily Ewer, both 3, are shown playing with math flash cards during the Lehighton School Community/Educational/Safety Program held Thursday at the Baer Memorial Swimming Pool. A combination of groups and organizations from the borough, school district, and the county, along with state and local police, participated in the event to encourage education and safety. The flash cards were provided by the Title I math program in the district to inspire children to keep learning throughout the summer. See story on page 2 and more photos on 14.
