Left to right: Boy Scout Asa Blynn of Troop 41 and Linda Roth, Round Table Commissioner of the North Valley District show a variety of back packs and how to pack them for overnight, a weekend stay or a longer journey. This demonstration was a part of the Boy Scout Jamboree held in the Palmerton Borough Park in observance of the 100th birthday of the Boy Scouts of America. Palmerton Area Scouting Troops 20 and 41 and Towamensing Boy Scout Troop 209 were in attendance. The public was invited to participate in many outdoor activities and taste many cooking demonstrations throughout the day. The celebration drew to a close with the troops being host to a patriotic flag retirement ceremony.
