Lehighton SP arrests

State police at Lehighton reported on arrests made by troopers in recent days.

Troopers said Timothy T. Vanblargan, 25, of Kutztown, is facing charges following a vehicle stop that occurred about 6 p.m. on July 18 along SR209 at Ski Pike, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Vanblargan was found to be in possession of a all terrain vehicle (ATV) with the vehicle indentification number (VIN) destroyed as well as the trailer VIN also destroyed.Troopers said Calvin William Shook, 44, of 224A White St., Weissport, was arrested by state parole agents at his residence on July 20 about 9 p.m. for possession of multiple firearms while on parole.Troopers said a check revealed that Shook reported to Franklin Township police that the guns were stolen shortly after his release on parole, when in fact, he still had them in his possession. He is facing a false reports charge.Troopers reported on an incident that occurred along Beltzville Drive, in Polk Township, Monroe County, on July 20 about 12:39 a.m.Troopers said Wesley L. Behler Jr., 18, of Lehighton, entered the residence at 1034 Bletzville Drive after being told previously to leave. Once inside he allegedly struck the property owner, Thomas L. Nesfeder, 38, of Allentown, in the head with a closed fist.He then attempted to flee the area but was found by troopers in the middle of the road screaming, cursing and running into traffic.He was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass and other offenses and lodged in the county prison in Snydersville.
