Lehigh Carbon Community College's Morgan Center has become the first to offer cutting edge curriculum in Social Media Marketing.
Aimed at business, this course reveals the secrets to really making money using social networks.
The Internet reaches over 300 Million Americans every day. Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are now the number one online activity. But what value do these online tools provide for business?
In this course, marketers, entrepreneurs and other professionals will learn how to harness the power of social media by cultivating the customer experience, empowering business to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Hosted by the LCCC Morgan Center and presented by the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce, this course will be conducted in two sessions - July 21st and July 28th. The curriculum for this course was developed by Concur New Media, a Carbon County based new media marketing firm; noted leader in this emerging field.
"This material is on the forefront of where business is going.", said Conrad Flynn, Managing Director of Concur New Media, who will also be leading instruction. "It was during my previous10-year career in radio that I really saw this shift taking place up-close. It's amazing to bring the power of this back home to local business."
"Major developments in the business world like this one are sometimes slow to reach our area, which is why we're especially proud to say we are the first in the nation to offer this curriculum", said Maureen Donovan, Assistant Director of Workforce and Community Services for LCCC.
