Jennifer Bet, a senior at Northern Lehigh Area High School has been named as the Woman's Club of Slatington's Girl of the Month for December.

She was a class officer in 10th grade, a member of Student Council in 9th and 10th grade, played on the field hockey team in 9th grade and on the track and field team, 11th grade.

She is a current member of the National Honor Society, Interact, Spanish Club, Cross Country team manager and Northern Lehigh's softball team.

She has earned a Junior Varsity letter in field hockey and softball, a Varsity letter for track and field and was named Most Outstanding Player for NL softball in 10th grade. She plays on Slatington's town softball team.

She was on the LCCC Dean's List for Fall 2007.

Jennifer earned a Pennsylvania certification for Outdoor OSHA training.

She is an employee at Hollister. During the summer she is a restoration intern at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center, working to re-establish the beauty of the Lehigh Gap.

Jennifer has been dancing for 15 years and specializes in Pointe ballet and tap.

She enjoys volunteering at area food banks whenever she can.

After graduation, she will be attending Penn State University Park, majoring in psychology with a minor in dance.

After receiving her Bachelor's degree in psychology, she plans to attend graduate school to receive her Master's degree.

Jennifer is the daughter of Maureen Bet and Richard Bet. She has a sister, Kathleen, and two brothers, Michael and Joseph.
