CCTI nurse aide program has 6 new graduates

Carbon Career & Technical Institute in Jim Thorpe announced that six students have graduated from the adult State Approved Nurse Aide Training Program on Thursday.

The 12-week program was held at the CCTI Health Annex on Tuesday through Friday.Long-term care clinical rotation was performed at the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lehighton.In addition to the hands-on training and comprehensive course instruction as a nurse aide, the students receive job placement assistance and resume writing as part of the curriculum.The American Red Cross will provide state testing for placement in the State Nurse Aide registry on March 12.For information on enrolling in the State Approved Nurse Aide Training program, contact the Adult Education Center (570)-325-4140.The next nurse aide program will begin on March 9.
