Two motorists escaped serious injury Thursday morning when involved in a crash along SR443 in West Penn Township. The crash occurred near 10 a.m. just west of the Carbon County border. Reports from the scene were the motorist operating the overturned car attempted to pull into a private driveway striking the pickup truck and all but ripping it in half. Both motorists refused medical treatment at the scene. Area fire police closed down the roadway until the investigation by township police was concluded.
