Pocono Mountain West showed its strength, as 13 of its 14 players scored to down Lehighton 79-33 in the final game for the Indians.

Tyrell Fortune and Jake Boyle each had 12 points for the winners, while teammate Tyrell Dixon added 10.

After a 25-17 lead at halftime, Panther Valley's defense limited Tamaqua to two points in the third quarter and eventually pulled away for the 44-28 win.

The tandem of PV's Brock Mitchell and Logan Stano teamed up for 31 of their team's 44 with Mitchell scoring 16 and Stano 15.

For Tamaqua, Anthony Bumbulsky scored nine.

PV improves to 13-9 overall and 5-7 in the league while the Raiders fall to 6-15; 1-11.

Blue Mountain forced a tie for the Schuylkill League Division I wild card with a 47-42 victory over Jim Thorpe on Sunday forcing a playoff today.

The Eagles and Olympians tied with 8-4 records for the second league playoff berth from Division I. The two teams will square off at 5 p.m. at Tamaqua with the winner meeting Marian in the league semis at Martz Hall of Wednesday.

Rashid Epps finished with 17 points and Sam Lux added 15 for the Olympians. Mark Garrity scored 18 points for Blue Mountain.

Northern Lehigh won the last five bouts to break open what had been a tight match for a 39-17 non-league victory over visiting Lehighton.

The match started at 140 pounds and the Indians captured five of the first nine bouts for a 17-14 lead.

The Bulldogs' Ty Herzog scored a 13-2 major decision at 112 to put No. Lehigh in front to stay at 18-17 at 112, and the 'Dawgs pulled away with the help of two forfeits, a pin from Lucas Dise at 125 and a decision by Nikko Stevens at 135.

Colin Hedash (189) scored a technical fall and Dylan Hofmann (140), Craemer Hedash (160) and Dan Huemmer (215) added decisions for the 'Dawgs, who completed dual meet competition at 15-5.

Panther Valley Round Robin Tournament

Panther Valley held their Round Robin Tournament featuring six teams from Jim Thorpe, Panther Valley, Norristown, LaSalle Academy, Brockway and Allentown Central Catholic.

Norristown pulled out the team win, totaling 160 team points, while LaSalle narrowly nabbed second with 122 to Panther Valley's 117.

Individually. the Panthers' Nick O'Donnell won his 103 pound weight class going 5-0 on the afternoon. Brandon Gurka matched that success, going 4-0 at the 119-pound weight class.
