The Borough of Tamaqua will begin snow removal operations at 12:01 a.m. Friday morning. All vehicles must be removed from the posted streets before midnight tonight. Operations will continue through Saturday as time and weather permit.

Streets scheduled to be cleaned on Friday include: south side of Broad, railroad tracks near Borough Garage west to Odd Fellows Cemetery; Center, both sides from Broad to SR309 bridge; Mauch Chunk, both sides, Broad to Pine; North Railroad, Tommy's Restaurant to Broad; South Railroad, Broad to Spruce.Saturday's operations will include; north side of Broad, railroad tracks near Borough Garage west to Odd Fellows Cemetery; Pine, both sides, Broad to Mauch Chunk; Berwick, both sides, Broad to Hegarty Avenue; Nescopec, both sides, Cottage Avenue to Hegarty Avenue; Swatara, both sides, iron steps to Lafayette.Snow removal will then continue as needed. The schedule is subject to change.Any vehicles not removed from the posted streets will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.
