The business is located near Cressley's Green House.At Hillside Small Engine, customers will find a personable businessman and a professionally laid out customer service area and a large shop where the work repairs are done. There is also a larger are where items are held until serviced or held until customers pick them up.For those who need pick up and delivery service, Hartman also offers that service, too."None of my customers equipment is ever stored outdoors," said Hartman. "I have the space to store it indoors before it is worked on and plenty of room to hold it until it is picked up."Hartman's shop area is neat, organized and filled with the all the tools he needs to make all kinds of repairs to power equipment.Hillside Small Engine is the only STIHL independent dealer showroom in the area. Hartman said he chose to be a STIHL independent dealer because the STIHL products are so dependable. He said the STIHL products provide a life span of service to customers.He carries a full line of STIHL products, including chain saws, blowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers and also has all the STIHL brand oils and lubricants to keep your equipment humming. He also stocks Troy-Bilt snow throwers. He will be stocking Troy-Bilt tillers and cultivators, trimmers and edgers, riding mowers and walk behind mowers in time for spring mowing and planting season.Hartman has always liked to tinker with power equipment and he decided to put his talents to use to start his own business instead of continuing to work for other dealerships. He has worked for other dealerships for the past 20 years. He is also a Briggs and Stratton dealer and carries the engines are parts for repairs. Hartman can also sharpen chain saws."You have to like what you do," said Hartman.
