State Rep. Keith McCall said a nonprofit credit counseling service will offer free services to residents of Carbon County at his Albrightsville office on Feb. 10.
"The two most important things a person can do when debt gets overwhelming are get the facts and be as proactive with creditors as possible," McCall said. "Consumer Credit Counseling is a nonprofit company based in northeastern Pennsylvania that has offered to provide free services to people of our area. Anyone who is worried about debt may call for an appointment to learn what options are available."
McCall's Albrightsville office is located in the Frosty Mountain Plaza, 2861 State Route 903 in Albrightsville.
Interested constituents who would like to make an appointment for a Feb. 10 counseling session may call 1-800-922-9537.
Depending upon constituent response, future counseling sessions may be scheduled in McCall's district offices.
Services available include help with housing and mortgage debt, budgeting and financial counseling as well as debt management for people in financial distress.
