State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a deer poaching/theft incident that happened between 9:30-11:45 a.m. Dec. 5 at Kenmar Acres in Polk Township.

Police said the Pa. Game Commission had two deer for evidence located with a marked Game Commission vehicle at the site when someone stole the two deer from the vehicle.

One of the deer was a piebald that police said was poached during the nighttime hours.
