A Lehighton woman has been charged with retail theft for allegedly taking a $100 gift card from her employer.

Mahoning Township police were called to the Wal-Mart store at 12:25 p.m. Dec. 13 to meet with the store's loss prevention manager. The manager had investigated the theft of the gift card, which the employee allegedly used to buy $78.15 worth of merchandise on Dec. 10.Stephanie N. Lill, 23, of the 300 block of East Alley, was interviewed and subsequently admitted to the theft. She has been charged via citation with retail theft.
