Thousands of "snow geese" on their annual migration stopped to feed Wednesday afternoon in a corn field between Route 248 and Smith Road in Northampton County. Most travelers along the busy roadway probably wrote the white field off as just being snow. When the geese decided to move farther into the field they actually blocked out the sun as they all took flight at one time. The Lehigh Valley has always been a favorite stop of the geese.
