Wrecker boys win, Raider swimmers sweep

Weatherly picked up a boys basketball win, while the Tamaqua swimmers swept Central Catholic in local action on Monday.

Dane DeWire set a new school and pool record with his 261.1 score in the diving competition. He also won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:02.5 and was a member of the winning 200 Medley and 400 Freestyle relay teams. Teammate Jordan Frank also won two events, as he took home the 200 IM and the 100 Breaststroke.Joann Butkus and Schuyler Schmidt won two events on the girls' side and helped the Lady Raiders to a 124-56 win.
