Humbug: Christmas figurines stolen

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating several theft incidents.

Joseph Major, of 2240 State Rd., Effort, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, reported someone removed an inflatable Winnie the Pooh and Grinch from his front yard. The incident occurred sometime between midnight and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11.Mark Allsion, of 200 Michael Lane, Jackson Township, reported someone removed a plastic figurine of the baby Jesus and a shepherd from a Nativity scene in his front yard. The incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, and 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.Kerry McGrath, of 1621 Olympic Way, Effort, Chestnuthill Township, reported his unlocked vehicle was entered while parked in the driveway of his home. The vehicle was searched and about $10 was removed from the passenger side compartment. The incident occurred sometime between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 6:20 a.m. on Saturday.Stephanie Hill, 1609 Olympic Way, Effort, reported her unlocked vehicle was entered while in the driveway of her home and searched. Removed was the stereo and a small vehicle computer from the passenger compartment. The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. on Saturday.Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.
