Country Inn and Suites, Lehighton, recently held a toy drive and fundraiser to raise funds for the Blue Ridge Food and Toy Drive. Not only did those attending fill a toy barrel to overflowing, they also provided $889 in donations to help purchase food baskets for needy families. The project was a combined effort of Caitlin Spiker, center, and RoseAnn Lesher, owner of the hotel. Nick Hawkey, a member of the Carbon-Mountaineers Marine Corps League Detachment 996, coordinates the Blue Ridge Food and Toy Drive.
