West Penn Lions Club holds tree lighting

Dozens of people came out to take part in the West Penn Lions Club 5th Annual Tree Lighting event held recently at the West Penn Annex building in New Ringgold. In addition to the lighting of the trees outside and singing carols, visitors were treated to free cookies, cocoa (with marshmallows), candy canes, and miscellaneous gifts. Organizer Lion Judy Miller also played her accordion during the event. Trees inside the annex were also lit. Holiday ornaments for the indoor trees were made by West Penn Elementary School's Jeanie Brennan's kindergarten class and Donna Frantz's first grade class. The chairs of this year's tree lighting were Lions Judy Miller and Judy Dudley. In the top photo Gracie Nallon, 6, and Peyton Neumoyer, 5, on right, place their ornaments on one of the two indoor Christmas trees.
