A young man escaped serious injury Tuesday evening when he lost control of his car and struck a home in Palmerton. The crash occurred near 5:30 p.m. as he was traveling west on Mauch Chunk Road. He apparently lost control swerving to the left, mounting the sidewalk impacting with the front porch of a home at 876 Mauch Chunk Road. The Palmerton Fire Department responded to the scene.
