Stephen and Rachel Sverchek of Lehighton were recently notified by their respective schools that they have attained the dean's list for the spring semester.

Stephen attends Duquesne University and is a student in the A.J. Palumbo School of Business with a major in marketing and a minor in entrepreneurship. He is currently an intern with Bridgestone/Firestone Tire Co. in Pittsburgh and recently completed additional company training at their U.S. headquarters in Chicago. Stephen will be graduating in May of 2011.Rachel attends Ithaca College and is a student in the Park School of Business majoring in international business. She recently completed a study abroad program through Ithaca's London campus. Rachel was recently inducted into the Oracle Honor Society which recognizes students for both academic achievement and future leadership potential. She was also inducted into the Sigma Iota Epsilon Business Honor Society during the spring 2010 semester. Rachel will be entering her Junior year at Ithaca this fall.Stephen and Rachel are the children of Mark and Anne Sverchek of Lehighton and the grandchildren of the late John and Veronica Sverchek of Lansford and the late William and Anna Corkill of Jim Thorpe.
