Rush Township Board of Supervisors met Wednesday at 4 p.m. for a special meeting. Four bids for road materials were received and accepted for review. Slusser Brothers, Eckley Asphalt, Lehigh Asphalt, and Hazleton Materials provided the bids. No bids were received for equipment rental.
In attendance were Chairman Stephen Simchak and Supervisor Robert Leibensperger who approved that Marie Skripnek attend a labor compliance class at the rate of $125 per day on Wednesday Sept. 15, at the PAHRA Annual Conference in Hershey.
The supervisors voted yes to ratify placement of ads for equipment and road materials.
During the public comment portion of the meeting a debate ensued about when to discuss items not on the agenda.
It was also announced that the office will be closed for business on Wednesdays starting August 18th until further notice.
