Dear Editor:
I have noticed that some cities near to my home (Allentown and Bethlehem) have adopted laws that prohibit the use of cell phones while driving. When will Gov. Rendell join these cities, to pass the law of no cell phone use while driving in Pennsylvania?
It is very hazardous to those using their cell phones as well as those around them. I've lived in New Jersey for some time and had no problem adjusting to their law of no cell phones. It will reduce the accident rate in Pennsylvania and keep everyone on the road safer.
Thank you,

Just what we need, MORE laws that "save us from ourselves."
If memory serves me, isn't there a Vehicle & Traffic Code for Pennsylvania that states that it is against the law to operate a motor vehicle while you are distracted? Isn't using a mobile phone while operating a motor vehicle distracting?
Yup, more laws means more cops.
Did you ever notice how many town cops use the cell phone when driving... In Mahanoy City recently every time I saw the police car , there was the cell phone hanging on the left ear....
