Northwestern sweeps CL track meet

Northwestern Lehigh picked up a Colonial League sweep in track, while Pleasant Valley won a Mountain Valley Conference showdown with Lehighton on Tuesday.

TRACK AND FIELDESSouth-LehightonIn a Mountain Valley Conference showdown, Lehighton and East Stroudsburg South ended up splitting the end results.The Cavaliers captured a 107-43 win on the boys' side, while it was the Lady Indians posting a 81-69 victory on ther side.Abby Frey paced the Indians taking first in all four events she took part in the 100, 200, long jump and was part of the winning 4x1 relay team, while Vanessa Rimbey followed suite by winning the 100 hurdles and the high jump.The Indians' Emily Oldt (3200), Corrine McConville (javelin), Hailey Coleman (300H), Nate Black (300H), Eric Whiteman (shot put), Levi Haldeman (discus) and Cory Kresge (long jump) all added single wins on the day.BOYSES South 107, Lehighton 43100 - 1.
