Carbon County Senior Games practice sessions have been announced.

They will take place for participants on Friday, April 23, and 30, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Lehighton Recreational Center, Eighth and Iron streets.The games, slated to take place May 4 to May 13, include basketball, pool, darts, ping pong, shuffle board, bean bag toss, horseshoes, swimming, miniature golf, softball throw, one-mile walk, dancing, bingo, and more.Sign-ups for the Carbon County Senior Games will also be held this month.Any Carbon County resident age 60 and older is eligible to participate and can register at the senior centers in Lehighton, Jim Thorpe/Penn Kidder, Panther Valley, Weatherly and Palmerton.For more information on the 2010 Carbon County Senior Games, contact any of the aforementioned senior centers.
