Janet M. Davis, daughter of James and Maria Davis, Hazleton, became the bride of Gregory J. Sniscak Jr., son of Gregory and Diane Sniscak, Nesquehoning, on July 18, 2009 at St. John's Methodist Church in Hazleton. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Neal Smith. Ruth Hughes was the organist.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose Cherie Davis, Westampton, N.J., as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Diane Zecker and Carmen Masias, both of Hazleton. The flower girl was Chelsea Davis of Westampton.
The bridegroom selected Joseph Sniscak of Nesquehoning, to serve as the best man. Ushers were Cesar Davis, Westampton; and James Davis III of Hazleton. The ring bearer was Colin Davis of Westampton.
Following the ceremony the couple greeted family and friends at a reception at Capriotti's in Tresckow. They honeymooned in Nassau, Bahamas.
The bride was honored at a shower given by the bridegroom's mother, her mother, the matron of honor and bridesmaids at Eagle Rock in Hazleton. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom's parents at Graziano's in Beaver Meadows.
The new Mrs. Sniscak is a 2000 graduate of Hazleton Area High School, and a 2004 graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is employed as a teacher for the Hazleton Area School District.
Mr. Sniscak is a 2000 graduate of Panther Valley High School, and a 2004 graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology. He is employed as a sales engineer for Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown.
The newlyweds currently reside in Hometown.
