The Carbon County Board of Assessment Appeals on Thursday announced it would deny the Allentown Diocese' request to reduce the value of 20 properties from the county's total fair market value of $4,361,844 to the $810,000 the diocese says they are worth. The current taxable value of the properties is $1,448,145.
