Two Carbon County teens, reported missing last Friday, Oct. 9, and the subjects of two days of searches by state police and the county's emergency management agency, have been found safe and apparently unharmed.

State police at Fern Ridge confirmed this morning that Ray Lockard, 18, and Donna Marie Kiernan, 19, of the Lenape Trail area of the Indian Mountain Lakes development in Penn Forest Township were located. Troopers did not elaborate but stated a press release would be sent out later today concerning the two.

The two were reported missing on Friday about 6:30 p.m. The two were last seen at a home along Lenape Trail. Troopers, with the help of Mark Nelesnik, Carbon County director of the Emergency Management Agency, formed search parties on Saturday evening and Sunday in the vast development but were unable to find two teens. The Sunday search involved at least 95 people. After calling off the search on Sunday about 8:30 p.m., troopers then said they were treating the two as runaways.

The two were said to be mentally challenged and were called very close friends" by family members and residents of the community.
